Creative Writing Club
The Creative Writing Club is a community of creative writers who love to get together to share our own creative work and talk about the craft of writing.
Meetings: Wednesdays from 3:00–4:30 PM in Westview 209 and on Zoom
(drop-ins are always welcome!)
We also have a Creative Writing Club Discord Channel if you can’t make our regular meetings. Feel free to submit your own work, comment on the work of others, or just chat about writing stuff.
In addition to our regular meetings in-person, on Zoom, or via Discord, we host writing events on campus, often partnering with the Aims Review and English Honors Society. We also travel every Spring to The Pikes Peak Writer’s Conference, which happens this Spring from April 16–19 at the Doubletree Inn in Colorado Springs.
Spring Semester Meetings
Regular Meetings during Spring Semester
Drop-in Meetings over winter break on Zoom on Fridays at 3:00 pm.
What: Meetings to get together and talk about craft, writing ideas, or projects we are working on.
Where: Greeley Campus: Westview 209; Fort Lupton Campus: (Contact Laura Brashear), and Zoom;
When: Wednesdays from 3-4:30 pm. These meetings are informal. Students can drop-in and leave at any time. We like to keep them open for a longer time to accommodate students with conflicting schedules, so if you can’t come right at 3, drop in when you can!
Why: To keep that writing momentum going by responding to writing prompts, talking about the craft of writing, participating in community events, sharing our work, and creating weekly writing goals for ourselves.
How: If you want to talk about a project you are working on, submit it to the Creative Writing Club Discord Channel.
