Sailing off into the sunset

Biography: Being an alumnus of Aims (and first-generation student), I recall all the good times and great staff/teachers while I attended Aims. After I graduated and began a family, I knew that I would always share my Aims memories with them in hopes that they would create their own here one day. And I have to say that ALL 4 children have attended Aims with one taking advantage of Aims2UNC program.
I have always had a love for photography but coming from a family of 12 and then having a family of 6 of my own there were always other needs that needed to be met besides asking for a camera. Then one day my husband surprised me with my first camera about 10 years ago and I jumped in with both feet learning everything I needed to know about using my camera. With a lot of trial and error I’m happy to say that now I photograph mostly weddings, seniors and everything in between with my Gracefully Etched Photography business.
Who inspires me: well, I can’t say just one but many have had their hand on me that I look up to for inspiration. There are so many talented people to look to and I believe that someone that grows doesn’t grow by staying still but is always looking to see what they need to do to become better from others’ ideas and views. I love capturing images in my camera that can last a lifetime and sharing that experience with someone else.
