Reflections of Life by Christina Bondhus

This piece reflects chaos, light, and dark, with shifting foundations, varied shapes, and paths—some free and flowing, others lost or constrained. When I created it, I was trying to make sense of myself, unaware I had BPD then. Looking back, I see my art was my way of trying to understand the struggles I endured but coming up short. Now, with a diagnosis, comes clarity. The power imbalance has shifted—my struggles have a name, and they no longer limit me because that power is now fully mine.

Biography: I tried college right after high school—multiple times—but it never stuck. After losing my job in 2020, I returned to school in 2021 as a non-traditional student, this time with focus and experience in office work. I enrolled at Aims for administrative assistance, taking one or two classes a semester to balance with my work schedule.
