Lemurs on Speed! by Matthew J Frink

Look at them lemurs, them lemurs on speed
with their big bugged eyes, evaluating me
Look at them lemurs, them lemurs on speed
with their big bugged eyes, evaluating me
Investigate the investigators,
the investigators glaring at teenagers
Investigate the investigators,
the investigators always glaring at teenagers,
I see ‘em with my eyes
I see them with my eyes!
Listen to them beavers, them beavers in trees
with their big bucked teeth, a’ threatening me
Listen to them beavers, them beavers in trees
with their big bucked teeth, a’ threatening me
Investigate the investigators
The investigators are hearing beggars
Investigate the investigators
the investigators are hearing silenced beggars,
I hear ‘em with my ears
I hear them with my ears!
Take a whiff o’ those goblins, those goblins on weed
with their billowed clouds, a’ suffocating me
Take a whiff o’ those goblins, those goblins on weed
with their billowed clouds, o’ suffocating me
Investigate the investigators
The investigators are inhaling futures
Investigate the investigators
The investigators are snorting all our futures
I smell ‘em with my nose
I smell them with my nose!
Have a lick o’ those vipers, those vipers on mead
with their drunk hairy tales, encapsulating me
Have a lick o’ those vipers, those vipers on mead
with their drunk hairy tales, encapsulating me
Investigate the investigators
The investigators dining on betrayers
Investigate the investigators
The investigators devouring the traitors
I taste it on my tongue
I taste it on my tongue!
Do you feel the rhythm, that mesmerizing beat
with the bang boom bash, discombobulating me
Do you feel the rhythm, that mesmerizing beat
with the bang boom bash, discombobulating me
Investigate the investigators
The investigators all dancing with the satyrs
Investigate the investigators
The investigators are dancing with the invaders
I feel it in my bones
I feel it in my bones!

Biography: What brings me to Aims is a desire to be something greater than I already am. I have always been a storyteller. The first to amuse my friends and family with various performances, but that was always seen as a hobby, and one that wouldn’t take me anywhere. So, I found myself within a loop of ritualism for a long time, until I found my epiphany. The lightbulb came in the form of my lovely wife and her unending encouragement. An artist herself, she helped me realize my potential as a creator. Pointed out to me that through my passion for writing songs and stories, I could touch people. I could make them feel. She showed me that words are magic. Real spells sitting on the tip of my tongue ready to be cast into the world shaping and molding it. When people experience my work I want them to feel seen, heard, and ultimately uplifted. I put my abnormal perspective into the universe hoping that I am not alone and that others see it too.
