Biography: My name is Pepper. I am a Colorado native and a lifelong artist. Growing up I didn’t have much money for art supplies so I relied on what I had available. Bic pens were a staple in my art. They were cheap and readily available. I learned over the years to master using a ballpoint pen to create my art and it is my preferred medium to this day. I would describe my art as analytical. Every line is intentional and thought out. From a distance, you only see the picture as a whole, but when you get close to it you can see the exacting and calculated line work that makes it come together. You cannot truly shade with a ballpoint pen so it takes layering countless times to give the picture depth. This style of art is not for the faint of heart. Each piece is a grueling task of 50 to 70 hours of work on average. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Its what makes my work unique and interesting.
