                                             Sweet candlelight.
Dancing in the depths of nightfall.
                                            Sweet candlelight.
                                 Caressing the shadows all white.
Wax runs down like a waterfall.
It almost dies in a cool squall.
                                           Sweet candlelight.

Biography:  Braidynne Brashear started Aims in the fall of 2018 as a Concurrent Enrollment student. She graduated from high school and Aims in 2020. Braidynne has always loved arts in any form. She grew up doing just about everything to express her artistic nature. Since she was a child, she has been writing poetry but did not find a true appreciation for it until middle school. In trying times throughout her life, she turned to poetry as an outlet for her emotions. As she progressed to high school, she took more classes that taught poetry. This allowed her to grow her art and explore different forms of poetry beyond couplets. Some of her favorite poets are Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, and Emily Dickenson. Braidynne continues to seek inspiration in all possible areas as she pursues a double major in Creative Writing and Art.
