Biography: Sherry Roberts is a visual artist based in Greeley, Colorado, who explores the effects of nature on human psychology through watercolor and gouache. Inspired by the shapes and colors of reflections and shadows found in natural environments, Sherry invites viewers to get closer, look deeper, and engage with their perceptions. After studying Fine Art at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Sherry is currently expanding their practice at Aims Community College. Their work has been exhibited in major cities such as New York, Atlanta, and Detroit.
Currently focused on local landscapes, Sherry is working on a new series of landscape paintings that highlight the region’s color palettes while examining their impact on mood and mark-making, with the aim of uncovering unexpected color combinations and patterns of light and shadow.
