Crimson Gaze by Kat Smith

Biography: My name is Kat Smith and I’m an artist aiming to be a tattoo artist. Art is a huge aspect of my life and I have my grandma Susan to thank for it. She got me into painting and drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil and now I’m here. She helped me understand that I could try drawing anything I could see and more. I’m striving to better my craft every day by practicing with acrylic paints, charcoal, and colored pencils, maybe even some digital art. I use art as my form of expression, especially through my tattoos. Drawing is extremely therapeutic and relaxing, it has helped me throughout all of my schooling and overall life. Some artists that have inspired me are Albrecht Dürer, a German painter, my friend Pastellanor on Instagram, and my partner Jacob Sloan. Jacob pushes me to get those last details a piece may need.
