Biography: Hello! My name is Aidan Martin and I am a digital illustrator at Aims Community College.

When it comes to art, I love to design characters. I love making names for my characters, giving them birthdays, and writing stories and watching them grow. Ever since I was younger I’ve always had a fascination with animation and cartoons, always falling in love with the expression and care put into the characters and their designs by the artists. It wasn’t until I was introduced to Japanese media such as アニメ and 漫画 that I really started taking my art seriously and wanting to pursue it as a career. I started learning Japanese, and learned the way of storytelling known as 起承転結 so I could achieve my dream of creating and illustrating my own story some day.

My biggest inspirations have been Final Fantasy 7, NieR: Automata, and Elden Ring. Not only have they inspired me to think outside of the box as far as character design goes, but they have also given me so much happiness with the emotional stories and lovable characters they have to offer.
