A woman of rhyme without reason<\/span>\r\nWas Miss Melanie Bleu<\/span>\r\nShe wore their scorn well\u2014<\/span>\r\nThe woman who was taboo.<\/span>\r\n\r\nHe'd left her at the altar<\/span>\r\nWith naught but a festering feast;<\/span>\r\nTo another who stays gold<\/span>\r\nHis heart was only leased.<\/span>\r\n\r\nTo the tailor she went a-calling<\/span>\r\nShe\u2019d dress fit for a queen<\/span>\r\nHer love would not see her weep <\/span>\r\nHe would only see her preen.<\/span>\r\n\r\nShe came resplendent in worn white silk<\/span>\r\nThe portrait of a beautiful disgrace<\/span>\r\nHer love was well and gone, she knew<\/span>\r\nFor hers was a dream unlaced.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe garment was a patchwork of promises,\u00a0<\/span>\r\nFrayed childhood schemes<\/span>\r\nShe was a dream in chiffon<\/span>\r\nUnraveling at the seams.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThrough the gown\u2019s stifling stitches,\u00a0<\/span>\r\nHer true colors vied<\/span>\r\nTill she tore the wretched thing <\/span>\r\nAnd took it in her stride.<\/span>\r\n\r\nBut the tailor took the ill-fitted gown,<\/span>\r\nAnd pried apart its strands<\/span>\r\nA dress that was ruined and raw<\/span>\r\nThe tailor patched with capable hands.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe tailor patched by candlelight,\u00a0<\/span>\r\nHis fingers a deft refrain<\/span>\r\nHe took a needle to the tattered lace <\/span>\r\nAs the sun began to wane.<\/span>\r\n\r\nAt last he saw a work well done<\/span>\r\nAnd put his eyes to rest<\/span>\r\nThe gown lay finished, waiting<\/span>\r\nWaiting to be dressed.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThen comes the tenuous dawn,<\/span>\r\nThe darkness laid waste;<\/span>\r\nThe tailor knelt by Melanie\u2019s side,<\/span>\r\nTheir hands interlaced.<\/span>\r\n\r\n\u2018To my lady, my love, my<\/span>\r\nUnlikeliest of friends:<\/span>\r\nI come bearing gifts<\/span>\r\nBy which to make amends.<\/span>\r\n\r\nHe brought you a flower, a kiss, <\/span>\r\nAnd a ring to intend<\/span>\r\nI bring you a poem, a promise, <\/span>\r\nAnd a gown to mend.\u2019<\/span>\r\n\r\nMiss Bleu clutched the gown<\/span>\r\nIn one marred hand<\/span>\r\nIt was more than the costume<\/span>\r\nOf a lover's brand.<\/span>\r\n\r\nIt draped her jagged edges<\/span>\r\nAnd rendered her with pride<\/span>\r\nFinding her torn, the tailor patched<\/span>\r\nThe ruined bride.<\/span><\/pre>\n

I don\u2019t like to be tied to one medium in particular, but rather I engage in a variety of artistic expressions, including writing, painting, drawing, and crafting.
